dc.descriptionThe Centre for Mental Health Care and Recovery (CMHC&R) was a three-storey building located on the grounds of Bantry General Hospital. The approved centre was run by the HSE and provided acute adult mental health care services. Sleeping accommodation was a mix of single bedrooms and dormitory style accommodation with up to four beds in each dormitory. The approved centre was registered for 18 beds and accommodated nine residents at the time of inspection. Admissions to the approved centre were referred from one of three community mental health teams based in the catchment area.en_US
